Why sign up or join the Missouri Autism Coalition?
1. To show you are concerned with autism issues in Missouri.
The Missouri Autism Coalition is an alliance of individuals concerned about autism issues: parents, grandparents, family members, friends, professionals, and individuals themselves. There is strength in numbers!
2. To stay informed about autism in Missouri
The Missouri Autism Coalition's purpose is to help build an effective communication network regarding autism advocacy, awareness, events, and resources throughout the state. We actively undertake projects that promote information-sharing, such as the exciting Spectrum of Promise web project. Knowledge is power!
3. To promote collaboration & cooperation within the autism community
The Missouri Autism Coalition is for any and every individual
concerned about autism issues in our state, regardless of what group or organization they are already affiliated with in Missouri or nationwide.
We are a non-compete coalition and do NOT intend to replace or
overshadow any existing groups NOR favor any autism-related issue or group over another.
4. To help make a difference
The Missouri Autism Coalition was created to help families stay
informed of opportunities to become involved and advocate for
progress. Families are THE critical component and should always be included in policy decisions and should always have a "seat at the table".
